PRECAUTIONS & GUIDELINES
Explanation of Product

Capacitor Disposal

Non-Solid and Solid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Precaution

1. Follow either of the proceedings below for capacitor disposal:

1.1 Punch holes in the capacitor cases or crush the cases, then incinerate.

1.2 Consult the EPA for the proper disposal of industrial waste.

Explanatory Notes

1.1 Incinerating capacitors without punching holes in the cases or crushing the cases may cause the capacitors to explode.

1.2 The outer polyvinylchloride sleeve of capacitors will discharge toxic gas such as a chlorine gas when incinerated at low temperature. It is extremely important to incinerate capacitors at high temperatures.
