Through
the KDK Corporation, the Chemi-Con network possesses state-of-the-art
technology for producing the most critical part of a capacitor:
the aluminum foil. Established by Nippon Chemi-Con
in 1966, KDK has the largest and most technologically advanced
aluminum anode and cathode processing foil facilities in the industry.
With
research facilities in Japan and the United States, KDK is continually
developing and testing new foil etching and forming techniques.
This continuing pursuit of the latest technologies in aluminum
foil etching is just one more way that the Chemi-Con network is
leading the revolution in the design and manufacture of aluminum
electrolytic capacitors to meet the challenges of a changing world.
In
November 1994, KDK opened its American facility , US-KDK, in Moses
Lake, Washington. US-KDK was established to expand KDK's manufacturing
capacity for high-voltage anode foil, lower manufacturing costs
and support United Chemi-Con Manufacturing,
which is based in Lansing, North Carolina. Equipped with the most
advanced foil formation technology available in the world today,
U.S.-KDK ensures Nippon Chemi-Con's future as a global leader
in foil manufacturing and sales.
